In 2025 Make 2nds Count will be funding five '2nds Together' retreats taking place throughout the UK and hosting the second Secondary Breast Cancer Summit in Liverpool.
In total 244 patient places will be available in 2025 and as we want as many patients in our community as possible to benefit from these events – a few rules apply!

One funded placement per person

Priority will be given to those who have not previously attended a Make 2nds Count retreat or summit. If you have attended the summit and not a retreat before, then you can apply for a retreat place and vice versa.

Once applications are received, all attendees will be chosen randomly
- Everyone is welcome to apply however if you've previously received a place at our Summit or Retreats before then you will go into our reserve list for last minute places.
- CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS FRIDAY 14TH FEBRUARY, 5PM

Secondary Breast Cancer Summit
The Summit, back for it's second year, is the only national patient-focused conference in the UK for secondary (metastatic) breast cancer, designed to empower our community through increased knowledge and understanding of research, treatments and options.
With a 'choose your own adventure' style programme, you will be able to dip into topics that feel right for you. There will be patient Q&As with our panel of experts, exhibition stalls, social spaces and a community café.
'2nds Together' Wellbeing Retreats
We want to help everyone de-stress, relax and build friendships with others living with secondary breast cancer, giving a much needed break from life on constant treatment.
We are returning to all our favourites, Blairmore Farm in Crieff, Rainhill Hall in Liverpool, Dunadry Hotel & Gardens in Antrim and the Marine Hotel in Whitstable. We are excited to launch our first-ever retreat in Wales this year with a visit to the New House Hotel, Cardiff. All of these are 2 overnight stays.
