To provide benefit advice within the hospital setting at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan, Neville Hall Hospital, county hospitals and GP surgery appointments. To assist with general benefit form filling, grant applications for those with a cancer diagnosis and their families. Will also provide telephone or email advice and within limited circumstances home visits. Complex benefit advice includes appeal representation, assistance with blue badge application forms, bereavement forms, advice for utilities.

The Macmillan Welfare Rights Service based at Velindre Cancer Centre is still open and providing a free confidential advice service. We still offer a full welfare benefits advice service. Assisting with benefit applications, grant applications and advising on benefit entitlements. We provide full representation, assisting with benefit mandatory reconsideration and Appeals. However due to the Coronavirus restrictions we are unable to meet face-to-face, our support with be provided over the phone and in writing. We are still here to provide a confidential service for anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis who needs advice and support in accessing their full benefit entitlements.
